What is Poly Gel?

Poly Gel nails are essentially the lovechild of acrylic and gel nails. Poly Gel’s hybrid formula marries the very best features of both acrylic and gel for a lightweight but durable set of nails. It’s typically used as a nail ‘enhancement’ – to lengthen the nail – but can be filed down to whatever length you wish. Poly Gel comes in a tube (yep, nails in tube…),  has a thick, sticky consistency and turns rock hard when cured under an LED light for about 30 seconds.

According to Gelish (Inventor of the Poly Gel formula), Poly Gel is more flexible than acrylic, stronger than hard gel, and lighter than both. Poly Gel is the perfect at-home solution for anyone who wants professional-looking nails but are just too time-poor to visit the salon regularly (...preaching to the choir!).
